Chris and his wife, Tammy, are charter members of Southlake Baptist Church, joining the church in 2009. Chris serves (or has served) in a variety of areas, such as managing the parking lot attendees, children’s church, hosting home groups and serving as a church elder.
Chris is a born and raised Texan, who proudly served in the Navy and attended the University of North Texas. He has been the owner of Acorn Tree Service for over 7 years, and previously has owned a variety of small businesses in the DFW metroplex. Chris accepted Christ prior to enlisting in the Navy at the age of 21 and has a heart for serving the Lord. For more than 15 years, he has worked in both bus and children’s ministries in churches in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.
Chris and Tammy have lived in Southlake since 2003 and have a son, Luke, who is currently serving in the Navy in San Antonio; a daughter, Brittnie and son-in-law Eric, who have three children — Rylan, Kaylan and Carter — who also live in the DFW metroplex. Chris enjoys all things sports – especially football – traveling abroad, his extended family, being a grandpa and is continually amazed at the blessings that God has bestowed upon him.
Chris has many bible verses that are written on his heart, but one of the early verses that influenced him was Psalms 37:4 – “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
