Bob Kirkman

Bob Kirkman

Bob trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of nine in a small country church in LeSueur, Minnesota. His faith began to deepen during high school and continued to grow while attending Texas Christian University, where he was actively involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Campus Crusade for Christ. After graduating from TCU in 1977, the Lord brought Caryn into his life, and they were married in 1980.

Bob and Caryn have two grown daughters, Jennifer and Joanna. Jennifer is married to Jeremy Holmes, and they have three children: Cara, Nolan, and Everett. Joanna is married to Ryan Harrison, and they have twins: Jack and Faye. With both daughters living nearby, Bob and Caryn enjoy spending much of their time as grandparents.

Following a 42-year career in the corporate homebuilding industry, Bob retired in 2021. Since then, he has served as a Bible study leader and mentor with The Men of Nehemiah, a Christ-centered addiction recovery ministry based in Dallas.

Bob is grateful and honored to serve as an elder at Southlake Baptist Church.
