Join us for our first-ever Missions Weekend!
Saturday 5:30pm – 7:30pm:
We’ll gather around a meal and listen as three different church planters share what God is up to in their lives and the areas they have been called to. Childcare is provided
Joe Lightner – Currently serves as the associate executive director for the SBTC. Joe is a member here at Southlake Baptist Church and has previously served on staff. He has planted and pastored multiple churches including Legacy Stone church in Indiana which we have helped support.
Dakota Adair – Currently planting Heirloom church in Kyle Texas. They now have around 50 people on their launch team and are planing to launch in the fall, but are still looking to secure a long-term meeting space and for someone who would help them lead worship.
Robert Welch – Currently planting Legacy Hills church in Celina Texas. They launched last August and have been meeting weekly with a portable setup in the local middle school, very similar to how Southlake Baptist Church started almost 15 years ago. Robert and his team are building relationships and serving their community as the Lord faithfully brings new families into the area.
Sunday @ 9:15am:
Dakota will lead our bible study hour, equipping and encouraging us to see the mission field we’ve been called to and identifying practical next steps that people can take to get more involved.
Sunday @ 10:30am:
We continue our sermon series through the book of John as Joe shares with us a message about the vital role we play in missions work.
