On Sunday, December 11, at 3:30pm, children ages 5 through 6th grade are invited to join in bringing Christmas cheer to several SBC families in need. Along with caroling, we will deliver baskets of goodies to the families.
DETAILS AND SCHEDULE:
- Meet in the kids’ wing at 3:30 pm. (Please enter through the doors to the kids’ wing.)
- A few adults will arrange baskets of goodies while children practice carols.
- Load up and leave by 4:00 to go caroling. The church is providing one 15-passenger van. (If your child requires a booster seat, please send it with a name on it.) We might need a few additional vehicles depending on the number of children who come.
- Carol from 4:00-5:30/5:45.
- Arrive back to the church to eat pizza and desserts.
- Parent pickup by 6:30.
VOLUNTEER NEEDS:
- 3 adults/teens to pack and wrap baskets
- A few people to set up for pizza and desserts which will immediately follow caroling
- Someone to pick up pizza from Cici’s Pizza and deliver to the church by 5:30
- A few adults/teens to serve pizza and desserts
- Bring raw vegies and/or desserts for children
- Bring basket donations
IMPORTANT NEED:
Everyone is asked to bring small items to add to the baskets. We will have 4-5 families who will receive baskets. These items can be dropped off at the office during the week, brought on Sunday and dropped off in the kids’ wing, or brought at 3:30 when you arrive for caroling. Possible ideas: microwave popcorn, nuts, trail mix, packages of coffee, hot cocoa, cider, fruit, candies, small packages of crackers, small notepads, small devotional books, candle, etc.
Children under the age of 5 may attend the caroling but only with parental supervision.
