Day 6
Feb. 7, 2020
HELP US TO SEE THE MULTITUDES AROUND US.
READ
Matthew 9:36-37
“When He saw the crowds, He had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few…’”
REFLECT
Jesus saw the world in light of the reality that people needed salvation. He saw the lostness of people and understood the human situation. This reality stirred His emotions and motivated His actions.
PRAY
Father, help me to be more aware that what people need most is Jesus. Help me to see the people of our area in light of the reality that they need salvation. Help me to see the multitude of people all around our church who each day go through life without Jesus. Guard my eyes from distraction, and help me to see the great need for the Gospel that surrounds us.
RESPOND
How often do you consider the great spiritual need of all the people here in our area? Do you see people in light of the reality of being lost and the consequences sin brings?
