SCRIPTURE REFLECTION
The same crowd that had shouted “hosanna” as Jesus entered Jerusalem now shouts “crucify Him.” The same crowd that pleaded for Jesus’ healing mercy now has no mercy upon Him. An innocent man indicted. THE innocent man is convicted. Jesus is rejected by the very people He has come to save.

PRAYER
God, how quickly we can move from praise to rejection. If we do not get our way, we can so easily turn on You. Honestly, there have been many times in my life when I could have been numbered among the crowd that rejected Jesus. This Easter, I throw myself upon Your mercy, knowing that it is only found at the foot of the cross. Help me to show mercy to others as well and help lead them to Your cross.
