Read Mark 14:43-46

SCRIPTURE REFLECTION
It would seem enough to be rejected by religious leaders and to be scorned by the very people you had healed, taught, and loved. Yet Jesus’ arrest is filled with even greater betrayal when one of His own disciples delivers Him to His accusers. Judas betrays his Lord with a kiss.

PRAYER
God, how easy it is for me to look upon Judas with a critical eye. How could he? Yet if I am honest, I myself have stood with Judas in his betrayal. For every time I sin I reject you. I betray you. Oh how I need Your cross. I cling to Your cross this Easter, receiving Your forgiveness in the midst of my continued betrayal. Help me to share your grace and forgiveness with those who need Your cross too.
